Wise, by Choice

The Civil War is over. What happens now? Choices are a part of life and for Charlcie Roselind Wise, a sheltered teenager in post-Civil-War Georgia, it is time to decide the next move. With local resources exhausted and Charlcie in possession of a large parcel of land in the unsettled Midwest, she and a motley mixture of family, local friends, and strangers head to Texas. Combining skills and meager belongings, the group travels west to build the community of Wise, Texas, facing, as a family, all the dangers this "wild west" presents.
