Feminist physician Isabel Sanchez comes face to face with her own forgotten Mexican heritage when she's assigned to a South Texas clinic. Her outspoken values are in sharp contrast with the traditional Hispanic beliefs of the locals--particularly those of political activist Javier Perez.
