About This Book

The Mountain Man Series chronicles the 19th century life of Jeremiah Warner. Tragedy claims his family in the Texas Panhandle when Jeremiah is only eighteen years old. His brief journey of vengeance is told in the first volume of this series: "The Windrider."
Having accomplished his violent goal, the young man drifts toward the Rocky Mountain Wilderness where he hears of the lucrative beaver trade. He begins his trapping in the High mountain streams and develops a reputation among the native Americans as a powerful adversary, a great Warrior. This part of his life is told in the novel, "The Wolf Man Warrior."
His life as a trapper in the mountains makes him feel closer to the Indians of the region than to the whites who are invading the territory in ever greater numbers. He is adopted into the Blackfoot Tribe and shares the traditions and struggles of this noble people. This part of his life is told in the novel, "Winter Wilderness."
The epic journey of this man through time is filled with lessons and insight, he personifies the Manifest Destiny of the American frontier
