THE SUMMER BEFORE senior year Mason Darrow is still mourning his virginity and feeling unlovable, but someone is about to arrive who will change all of that. Sully's relationship with Justin Reily heightens but does not deepen and he finds himself going to places he didn't think he could. In the midst of this Tommy Dwyer is learning the difference between a childish and a childlike faith and praying that something like innocence will be left and meanwhile, as Bonnie Metzger leads Addison further into their strange and sexy relationship Balliol watches his father age and prepares to take over the family business. Innocence is fading and in the Eastforth things are not as pristine and white as they once were.
