Wicked Intentions

Somewhere under the dark skies of Central City, Lucius, a century old vampire, prowls the city in search of answers. It's been two months since he's found acceptance from Michael, and now he must ensure his human charge is safe under all costs. However, Michael remains skeptical about his need for energy, and about Lucius' desires, and has been avoiding the vampire for weeks.

Lucius is unlucky enough to find his overbearing master, Serena, on that cold, dark night. She is desperately seeking to capture him within her realm, and, as a warning, she reminds Lucius that his connection with Michael is forbidden, and that his best choice is to join her forces once more.

Yet, even after warning Michael about her intentions, Lucius finds he must fight for their freedom. Not only from Serena, but from anyone who wishes to exploit their secret.

The couple finds a temporary retreat with Christopher, a vampire associate, but it is false protection. Lucius learns that his love for Michael keeps him weak, not only against the forces against them, but to Michael's unexpected changes.
