Who Walk in Darkness

In "Who Walk in Darkness," the Quigleys undergo another test. This one is more dangerous and more mysterious than any they have encountered before. Involved is a hand-of-glory and two evil, ancient creatures reincarnated as mother and daughter. All three hold a grudge for the Quigleys and have vowed revenge. Along the way, they meet new friends, some of whom wind up joining the family. They also encounter obstacles, a cyclone and a sandstorm among them. Knowing they are going to be trapped in another dimension created by a powerful sorceress bent on killing them all, they go willing although with misgivings because the Old Man has told them someone needs rescuing. Since a Quigley can't seem to resist any challenge presented to them and they are accustomed to doing the Old Man's bidding, this is nothing new to them. One of these days, their altruism could get them killed.
