White Rivers

The wedding of Adam Pengelly and Vera Pollard brings many Cornish families together once again, including the Tremaynes, owners of Killigrew Clay and the White Rivers Pottery.

Skye Tremayne is now married to her wartime lover Philip Norwood, and with three small children and a pottery business to run, her life is always busy. But Philip is still traumatised by old war injuries, and Skye increasingly feels that she is married to a total stranger.

At his brother's wedding, Nick Pengelly meets Skye Norwood and falls in love. Will fate in the form of Nick Pengelly take a hand? Will Skye be forced to choose between a love stronger than any she has known, or her husband, and the children she dearly loves?

Skye's marriage is failing but when she is widowed shortly after she and Nick spend a night together, Skye is consumed with guilt. Meanwhile, Skye's cousin, Theo Tremayne, brings visitors to the clayworks, sparking a strike and dividing family and friends.
