The hours surrounding the murders are hidden by an unyielding darkness in his mind. He struggles with unanswered questions and with the emptiness left by his mother's death. Nightmares haunt his sleep and horrific memories float to him, memories of murders he can't recall but must have witnessed.
Alone in the woods behind his house, he hears a voice in the wind warning him to beware. Codey feels the heavy weight of someone's stare. Then the phone calls begin. Codey knows he is being watched from everywhere and he remembers a mysterious man with eyes like his own and a soul full of hate. He knows the man has returned. Codey is attacked at work and his brothers and friends are threatened. The stalker promises to make him suffer and to take his soul.
Willing to sacrifice himself to save everyone he has learned to love, Codey races against the man's malicious plan and tries to unravel the mysteries that began long before he was born.
