Whispers of Fear

Left almost penniless after the accident that killed her husband, Bethany Ryder's priority is finding a home and employment. Both are available at Tregarrick Manor, a gaunt old house high above the Cornish village of St Mollith. Despite being warned against it, Bethany accepts the post, but finds the girl who is temporarily in her care is hardly the child she expects. Drawn into the net of fear surrounding the occupants of the Manor, Bethany's own fear begins to mount when she falls in love with a man whom she suspects is guilty of treachery and murder.
