Whisper Through the Trees is the third book in the Willow series. Although the characters from the first two books in the Willow series make an appearance in this book, this story is complete in itself. Cade Austin's solitude to work on his latest novel is interrupted when he finds an injured, unconscious woman on his morning jog. He had walked away from a career in the FBI and never intended to be responsible for the safety of another person again. The beautiful woman he found beside the road causes him to rethink that position when he realizes her temporary memory loss has left her vulnerable to another potential attack from the assailant that she can't quite remember. Lexi, if that is actually her name, finds herself inexplicably drawn to the tall, dark and handsome man that comes to her rescue. Together Cade and Lexi piece together exactly what happened to her in the forest in the middle of a severe spring thunderstorm, while her abductor pursues the pair from the Smoky Mountains to Cincinnati and finally to Cade's home town of Willow, Tennessee. As the eventual showdown nears, Cade and Lexi may actually find something that neither of them were looking for. Love.
