About This Book

Myra Bartram's husband Daniel crashes his plane on a mountainside. He rescues a child and attempts to save its mother, but the wreckage topples off the cliff. Myra's devastated by her loss and at his graveside, she loses him again-this time to his legal wife. Bordering on the edge of insanity, she flees Baton Rouge and smashes head-on into a life of uncertainty in Atlanta. By coincidence, she meets Rich Udall, who invites her to dinner along with his house guest, Mitchell Vandyke. At dinner she learns Mitchell, a writer, is battling writers' block. She encourages him, a convicted felon (unknown to her), to write a novel based on a real criminal case. Mitchell writes this novel, but Myra doesn't foresee herself as his protagonist or Mitchell as his own villain until it is too late and she ends up in some dark alley in Spice Valley-and her whole world shatters.
