When We Grow Up

Nine year old Carlee meets a young teenage Matthew on his paper route. Although separated in age by a few years and coming from far different backgrounds, they manage to form a meaningful friendship that leaves everlasting impressions on both of their young hearts. Then one tragic day, Matthew discovers a horrible secret that Carlee has been keeping; but before he can act on this new found knowledge, the little girl suddenly disappears from his life. Years later, their paths cross once again. Carlee immediately recognizes her friend in the man that stands before her but it is clear to her that he has no idea of who she is, or rather who she was. She struggles with how to tell the now-grown Matthew the truth while being unaware that he has never forgotten his childhood friend or the agony that her memory still causes him. Carlee must find the strength to reveal the truth to Matthew and he must find the faith to accept the Truth of a Savior that cares for him.
