The Aleutian Islands were exactly where Dr. Tory Richards wanted to be: far away from nonstop, high pressure Los Angeles, where she'd done her medical internship. Now all she was going to do for a year was administer to the simple needs of the local Eskimo population.

Simple, that is, until her practice expanded to include being camp doctor for a geological expedition. But Tory wasn't complaining, for the leader of the team was steel-Nick Spencer. If only he didn't have the unnerving habit of seeing beyond her cool poise.

Nick was determined to chip away at the wall of professionalism Tory built around herself. But that's what happens when snow meets fire....
