Faye is a foundling whose home is a very famous inn. She loves her adopted family and her present life, but when her birth father appears one night with mysterious and hidden power in his hands, she is thrust back into her nearly forgotten past--a past that involves shadows of her parents. Faye learns that her father fights threatening creatures called Behemoths. Her father's astonishing power gives him the ability to control fire . . . or is it fire that controls him?
