What Gloria Wants

Gloria and her best friend, Shawna, are about to start high school, and they've already planned their exciting new social life. Bossy, doll-faced Shawna will find a boyfriend first. Then she'll get him to bring along a friend for Gloria, and they'll double-date and rule the school.

However, it's Gloria who catches the eye of Marc, the hottest boy in ninth grade, and she quickly learns that there's no rule book that tells you how to be a girlfriend. No index where you can find "boyfriend's mother" or "calling weekend mornings" or "total future management." In fact, her dream come true turns out be very complicated, as she negotiates her way through a minefield that includes a jealous best friend, protective parents, a phone-hogging little sister, Marc's annoying best buddy and, most of all, struggling with powerful new feelings that are thrilling and terrifying at the same time.
