About This Book

This is a Culture Wars stand-alone short story. Returning from the war, Edwin thinks about the relationship he once had in college and how it was lost to him forever. In 2228, as the Culture Wars are just beginning, Edwin finds himself falling for the fragile and vulnerable Jesse, a fellow student at his university. As dark winds of political change sweep across the nation, Jesse's fear grows and Edwin watches the man he loves become consumed by obsession and terror. After the war concludes, Edwin decides to return to the place where it all began - underneath the university's willow tree, to see if he can find a resolution to the ghost of a love that has haunted him for fifteen long years.
