Drew expected a wife to be waiting by the fireside for her man to come home. He didn't approve of women on his job sites--especially not in the heart of the Malaysian jungle.

But Briar didn't care if her presence there bothered him. She didn't care for Drew's opinions and she certainly didn't care what kind of a wife he wanted. In any case, she wasn't looking for a husband--of any kind!
