We Never Back Down

The saga of the Poudre Canyon Pelletiers continues in the developing Colorado Territory with book number four in the series, entitled We Never Back Down. Marshal Paul Lander and Deputy Jeb Pelletier go head-to-head with a post-war band of Confederate guerillas. Led by Major Franklin Dunn, the Rebel forces plot to control Larimer County for their western base of operations. When the lawmen are ambushed, leaving Jeb more dead than alive, the Pelletiers come riding down out of the canyon, determined to take revenge. Further north Ian Pelletier and his brothers are moving a herd of horses through Wyoming when they meet a young widow trying to survive against the hired guns of Vern Babcock, self-appointed ruler of Sweetwater County. The Pelletiers stay on and take up her fight with explosive results. Both Dunn and Babcock learn the hard way what the Pelletiers mean when they say "we never back down."
