Five years ago, former NHL star Oliver Paxton ended his relationship with physical therapist Devin in the worst possible way—right when her chronic illness flared and she needed him most.

Now he's accidentally moved to her tiny island town, coaching hockey at the school where she works. His career-ending wrist injury has humbled him. He's having panic attacks. He finally understands what it means to live with invisible pain.
