After five hundred years of cryogenic sleep, Mina Teague still seeks the trail of Rama Treadwell. Five years after her rebirth, she has a long-planned date with Javier Aritza, the Science Officer. He won't be there. In his place, a courier arrives with a mission for the Last Shepherd of The Word. Mina must now decide if she again chooses the Way of the Sword. The first story following the adventures of Wilhelmina Teague, after she leaves the ship and crew of Storm Gauntlet, as well as Javier the Science Officer, to start off on her own in a new galaxy.
