When the epidemic struck the Earth colony of Atlantis on the world of the barbarians known as the Uti they were forced by circumstance to use a subterfuge to get what they needed to survive.They sent out a woman to each of the nine realms posing as a 'Di-ore' which, in the Uti tongue meant pleasure woman. They had seven days to collect as many specimens as they could and return them to the colony for analysis to find what they needed to develop a cure.Dr. Melinda 'Mindy' MacGyver drew the short straw. She was sent to the Warlord Javar--a warrior so fierce even the other barbarians feared him.
