Wagered Kiss

Simon, the Earl of Westbridge, attends a party, never expecting to meet his destiny. A wager in a semi-dark room produces the kiss that almost drives him crazy. The room is too dark for Simon to see the woman he kisses. Fredericka, sister of the party host, wasn’t wearing her spectacles so neither could she recognize the young man in question.

The two of them think about that kiss an awful lot. Simon goes off to inspect his country estate, while Freddy, afraid of being forced into a marriage with a man she doesn’t know, flees her home.
