Voice and Vision

Years ago, a civil war devastated the Oran, a species of powerful telepaths. Cael, the Oran overlord, has learned how to harness the minds of humans to access the Éa, the nexus of shared consciousness at the heart of every living being's psyche. With this discovery, only one thing stands in the way of his ultimate goal of becoming a god:

Human minds, though weak in comparison, possess a burgeoning power unlike any even the Oran have ever seen. In a desperate endgame, the Oran underground sends an emissary to assemble an unlikely band of freedom fighters: a warrior searching for her son, a dissolute noble with dark secrets in his past, and a lizard-man priest. Together they must journey to Ora with humanity's greatest weapons: a mentally gifted blind girl with flashes of sight into other realities, and a seemingly ordinary mute boy. They will become the Voice and the Vision of humanity's fight against its own extermination.
