Visions of Power

The first volume in the classic Ingenairii Series introduces Alec, a sixteen year old orphan who works as a hired hand in a traveling carnival, performing chores and tasks while the wagons roll across the nations of the Dominion. Mentored by the carnival magician Aristotle, Alec learns about responsibility and friendship, until his education is disrupted when the caravan is attacked by the monstrous lacertii. Stranded in the wilderness of the Pale Mountains with Natalie, a dancing girl who also survives, Alec finds an ancient holy site, and gains unique powers that have been lost for centuries, powers that he must learn to control and use as he flees from the lacertii. His flight will take him to the most powerful duchy in the Dominion and to a power struggle involving the ingenairii, the nobility and the swordsmen of the Goldenfields Guard. Learning who to trust and how to fulfill his promises will create turmoil and conflict that stretch over every page of Visions of Power.
