With utmost reluctance Leah Anderson, expert antique-car restorer, agrees to don a flowered hat and Edwardian gown and drive Jared Morgan's ancient Packard to New Orleans on a publicity tour. But as long as their approach to cars remains firmly opposed, she's determined not to be seduced by the money-hungry motor magnate -- no matter how warmly sexy and boyishly charismatic he is!

On the road, Leah's dreamy idealism and Jared's practical hard-headedness clash from the first flat tire to the last blown gasket. Then, unexpectedly, wonderfully, their heated tempers spark an internal combustion of passion...and Leah develops a classic case of emotional malfunction!
