Vets in Opposition

Thanks to the good offices of her godmother, Sophie Ferguson was able to set up her veterinary partnership with friend Joanna much sooner than she might otherwise have managed. So it was a horrible shock to discover just before they opened that another practice was starting up in the same village. Robert Sheldrake and his assistant Ian Woodall didn't like it either, but they assumed they would do the large animal work, while the girls confined themselves to the small animals. Sophie was quick to disabuse Robert, and professional rivalry ensued – where did that leave their personal feelings?
