About This Book

Little Calisto has lost her mother to a tragic accident. Her father is distraught so he moves his daughters back to the farm where he grew up. The move proves to be a disaster for Calisto and the farm becomes her own personal torture chamber. Her father begins to molest her when she is only 6 years old. Her Grandmother beats her, sometimes so severely that hospitalizationis required. Her Aunt has been abused and beaten her entire life and has become a different kind of torturer. But Calisto is no ordinary child. She is strong willed and strong minded and somehow she turns the torture into an exercise in perserverance. If she can hang on long enough someone will help her to get out of it all before she becomes her Aunt or someone kills her. It is what she must believe or she will surely go insane.
