Despite the outrageous circumstance which brought Briony Beaumont to work with fellow veterinary surgeon Nick Lloyd, she was determined to make the best of a bad job. Caring for their animals patients would naturally offer her fulfillment, and even she had to admit that Nick's surgery was impressive.
