Uprooted from a mountainside in Sicily and reconstructed stone by stone in the remote northlands of the Adirondacks, the fabulous Castle Mazzini both awed and frightened young Andrea Grant. She had been hired by the enigmatic Carlo Mazzini, because of her ability to speak Sicilian, to come to his mysterious family fortress as a reader and companion for his aging mother.
