Veggies, Smeggies

At first, the main character in Veggies Smeggies cannot imagine why anyone would want to eat anything that comes out of the ground — whether it can help him grow or not. However, as he learns that some people actually choose to eat vegetables, he begins to imagine there might be something to them. This delightful story of a boy who doesn't want to eat his veggies — but eventually learns to enjoy them — allows parents an opportunity to teach children the importance of a healthy diet while they and their little ones have fun with rhymes. Color illustrations throughout complement the lively text of this title.
