When a plane crashes in Paris, Sam is as dismayed as everyone else, never suspecting that he is going to find himself drawn into an investigation that could damage the airline industry. His latest client, William de Freitas, believes that the plane crashed when the pilot was overcome by fumes leaking into his cockpit. Sam's investigation, however, leads him in directions he could never have anticipated. Set in Belfast and Finland, this latest thriller pits Sam Painter against unseen enemies from all over the world.
