Vanities and Vexations

This is a sequel to Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'. When Mr and Mrs Fitzwilliam Darcy decide to bring Georgiana out, Kitty and Mary are also to come to London with them. A wary peace with Lady Catherine means that Anne de Bourgh strikes up an unlikely seeming friendship with Kitty. Surrounded by young women, Mr Darcy must cope with the added complications of a scandal surrounding a Gothic Novel, fortune hunters, and the ongoing problems caused by Wickham. Add to this the foundlings of Darcy's noble cousin and it may be seen that there is never a dull moment during the challenge to find husbands for all Darcy's female relatives..
