Nurse Felicity loved a strong-willed mountain lawyer who resented her work. Was her answer, then, the young city doctor or the handsome advertising man who both wanted to marry her?

Their worlds were a million light years apart.

Although Nurse Felicity Caldwell was "semi-engaged" to handsome attorney Corbett Raiford, she wasn't sure if their wedding would ever take place, for Corbett wanted her to give up nursing and devote herself completely to being his wife.

But Felicity was devoted to her profession and to the mountain people she cared for, even though they set store by witchcraft, voodoo and Indian medicine men.

Then Dr. Aleck Potter joined the hospital staff, and Felicity wondered if he was the man for her. And when successful advertising executive Len Mallory returned to his home town, he found in Felicity the girl of his dreams. But Len's and Felicity's worlds were a million light years apart, and neither could cross into the other's.

It would take a mysterious patient at the hospital to bring Felicity to a decision about her life.

MOUNTAIN WITCH-GIRL
"Do you know Miss X, Deenie?" Nurse Felicity asked.
"Yeah," said Deenie huskily, "I know who she is. She's a murderer and a loony, that's who she is."
"Surely you don't mean it!" protested Dr. Potter, who was standing by watching the mountain "witch-girl."
"You bet I mean it!" panted Deenie furiously. "She killed the fellow I was going to marry, and then she killed his Maw, too. I'll kill her if you'll turn me loose!"
Deenie was dangerous. She was one of the uneducated mountain people Dr. Aleck Potter wanted to protect Nurse Felicity from -- if only Felicity would let him.
