Cassidy Black lives a fast-paced life at the Montabella in the glittering grit of Las Vegas. Waking from a recurring nightmare, Cassidy's nostalgic feelings take her on a trek through the Montabella's underbelly where she encounters a voice from her night terrors. Running away, Cassidy loses the pendant that was to be her something old for the bridal rhyme and must negotiate for its return. Helping friends threatened by zombie stoppers, Cassidy must face the misguided zombie stopper who targets her. Her father, Nicholas "Sonny" Black, wakes to a throbbing pain in his side from a knife wound inflicted during an attempted casino robbery. Dealing with the aftermath of the botched heist, Sonny receives a ransom note and must locate Cassidy to determine if it's a hoax. Juggling encounters with enthusiastic guests planning a bird release party, an angry security guard bent on revenge and a chef possibly targeting Cassidy, Sonny endeavors to appear unscathed while striving to keep the Montabella running smoothly.
