When a white-haired, red-cheeked mailman delivered a long-lost letter, Bret Underwood got the perfect excuse to escape another sunny California Christmas and go back home. Back to Clayville, Indiana, and an old-fashioned Currier and Ives Christmas. And back to his best friend, Dani Griffin.

Nothing in Clayville had changed -- except for Dani. The childhood chum with whom he'd once shared his private thoughts had bcome a woman of beauty -- and mystery.
