Two of a Kind

Julian and Jane were two of a kind only in that each had firmly declared marriage to constitute enslavement. 'A woman around all the time would very soon begin to pall,' stated Julian, tough and handsome timber grower whose vast estate adjoined the small farm taken over by Jan and her two friends. 'Falling in love is bad enough,' said Jan, 'but to tread the road to marriage is the ultimate in stupidity.' How, then, did these two come to find themselves drawn to one another - drawn into a situation where they were determined to fight the love they felt for each other?
