Two Adventures at the End of an Era

This book is a sequel to 'Two Edwardian Adventures' and consists of two stories set in Edinburgh during the years just before the Great War.'Adventure at the Palace of Varieties' takes place in 1911, when the Great Lafayette, a world-famous illusionist, was appearing at the Empire Palace Theatre in Edinburgh. It features the Martin family from the two earlier stories, and a new character who is an Italian clarinettist.'Adventure at the Zoological Park' is set in 1913 and 1914, with a couple of scenes taking place at Edinburgh Castle and the remainder at the newly-opened Zoological Park. The Martins are at the centre of the action again, and Violet Gregg and her brother (from 'Adventure at the National Exhibition') also put in an appearance.
