Mother couldn't believe it. She'd just been complaining that I never had any boyfriends. Then Mark's dazzling smile and sunny spirits changed my life.

Mark was full of surprises. An orphan from Iowa. he wasn't at all like the fast kids he ran around with—he was only helping a guy on probation straighten out. That was the good part.
