Trunk of Surprises

A victim of the Great Chicago Fire, Sophia Martone lost all but her mother and her faith. Her deepest regret is that she was forced to leave behind a family heirloom trunk full of memories and sentimental treasures. Can she begin a new life when all around her is ashes?

Attorney Clayton Hill has led a charmed life. His wealthy family enjoys every comfort, and the fire blessedly left this family and practice untouched. When he salvages a trunk from the streets of Chicago, the journal inside holds words that begin to touch him in a special way. For all he owns, he does not know the peace and faith reflected on those pages.
