New twists and turns abound in sixteen-year-old Christy Miller's life as she finds herself on a ski slope in the arms of a handsome ski instructor. Of course, she ended up there in a madcap way that makes for lots of laughs with her best friend, Katie.

It's about the only humor on the ski trip to Lake Tahoe. Christy is suddenly pulled into the "in" crowd, but Katie is left on the outside. Complications heap up as Katie discovers ski trip shenanigans and expects Christy to help expose them rather than support her newfound friends.

And then there's Todd, Christy's best guy friend. Despite her attempts to communicate with him, silence reigns, and she wonders if she's lost one of her truest friends.

Will Christy and Katie patch up their damaged friendship? Will Christy make the best choice between new friends and old? Will she ever hear from Todd again?
