About This Book
Once more bringing their limitless imaginations and creativity to the written page, Lee and Vista Boyland have penned Triple Threat-the second novel in their continuing saga of President George Alexander's Office of Analysis and Solutions' (OAS's) secret war against radical Islamic jihadists and international drug traffickers. Much lauded for writing a story that kept reviewers awake all night reading Pirates and Cartels, the Boylands again take the reader south of the border in this OAS sequel-this time to the South America's lawless Triple Frontier, the one-thousand square mile tri-border area where Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil's borders intersect at the Iguacu Falls spectacular cataracts. Covered by dense jungles riddled with hidden waterways-off shoots of the Iguazu and Parana rivers-the Triple Frontier provides the perfect place for narco cartels to set up large hidden drug labs with access to the smuggling trails leading from Bolivia and Columbia into Argentina and Brazil. Usama bin-Laden visited the area with its large Muslim population in 1995 and established a working relationship with Hizbollah, MS-13 and local drug lords. Now the area is also home to jihadi training camps. Camps that train fighters to speak Spanish and blend into local population as they make their way north toward the Great Satan. Martha Wellington, the DCI, had warned President Alexander about the Triple Frontier in previous novels. Now a jihadi team has been intercepted transporting two large containers of cesium-137 as they crossed into Arizona (Pirates and Cartels), and President Alexander realizes the Triple Frontier definitely poses a clear and present danger to the U.S. With Phase one of Operation Ninja successfully completed, the president plans to employ a similar strategy to eliminate the threat posed by the Triple Frontier. Romance is in the air as the OAS team takes some R&R to visit their families. Meanwhile, back in Albuquerque, Secretary Keese decides he needs a new ambassador in Brazil; and Alexander announces he's sending Teresa to South America to sell his plan to the presidents of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. But first she and Julian Taylor are sent to London to meet with MI5 and MI6. Joined by Ambassador at Large John Weldon, who is preparing for a meeting of world leaders to establish the replacement for the U.N. Teresa and Weldon visit the Foreign Secretary, and she and the supercilious old man have a major dust-up. A radical cleric in London sees the forthcoming U.N. replacement conference as an opportunity to kill the president of the Great Satan. After Teresa returns to Albuquerque, President Alexander sends her to Argentina where she will attempt to use her keen wit and unassuming yet alluring personality to convince each tri-border country's president to form an alliance with America. Some are not so easily charmed, and others will make plans to assassinate her. Teresa's two gal pals, the Terrible Two, are not available to accompany her, so she is forced to improvise. Readers of Boyland novels never know what new surprise or plot awaits them on the next page, and this story has plenty of action, betrayal and intrigue. Deltas, SEALs, Recon Marines and the Coast Guard share the action with the USAF."
