Every family is made up of multiple separate lives, intertwined. And though they experience the same event, and the impact shared, each of their reactions is deeply personal. The Flanagans are a normal, three-generation Boston Irish Catholic family living in a triple decker on Mission Hill. The matriarch and patriarch live in the top-floor apartment, and their two daughters and their families each in one of the other flats.
