Christine knew she was on dangerous ground when she accepted a luncheon invitation from Natalie, her client's ex-fiancee.

But the opportunity to learn what had happened on the day of the crime seemed irresistible. Natalie was disarmingly friendly, throwing Christine off her guard. So, accepting the drink Natalie offered her, Christine hardly noticed the bitter aftertaste of the exotic mixture.
