About This Book

Historical fact: in 117 BCE, a young Greek scholar ventures a voyage in the heart of Gaul for scientific and ethnological purpose. His name is Posidonius of Apamea. Our story begins in Hellespont, where the Greek philosopher meets the two companions that will share his journey, a mother and her daughter fleeing their native Galatia in Anatolia. The unlikely trio will sail across the Middle Sea to Massalia via Chios, Athens and Syracuse. From the port city of Southern Gaul, they will follow the ancient route up the Rhone Valley and down the River Loire to the Atlantic coast. Along the way, we will learn more about the women and discover the true nature of their journey.
