What lengths would you go to in order to rescue the life of a cherished loved one? Would you traverse time and eternity ... the vast unknown? In Tracts in Time you will savor a slice of life through the esoteric minds of Baker Paulson and his grandson Ike. Life's meaning has not always been clear to Baker, especially when he is forced into early retirement, but he finds true purpose in shepherding precocious little Ike. His world is shattered and faith shaken when Ike is gripped by a dangerous form of epilepsy. Baker is consumed with finding a cure through sometimes conflicting medical and spiritual means. Along the way, Ike's condition takes a mysterious and deadly turn which is manifested in trance-like episodes accompanied by strange dreams.The trances, which open up another dimension, lead Baker on an investigation through a memory portal. Three separate stories unfold and Baker encounters a peculiar cast of characters. He seeks God and purpose in the life lessons presented by the dreams but is more absorbed by his pursuit of an elusive cure for Ike in a race against time and the grim reaper. Are these disparate stories and characters as unrelated as they seem or is there some connection that will yield the truth?
