Nayelle Clark lived on a farm in North Dakota and dreamed of growing up to be a real cowgirl. That dream burned up with the house she lived in under a full moon one night.

Tormented by nightmares that scarred her flesh and soul, she learned to cope with her loss and made the best of her life as an orphan tossed from one foster home to another. Her life was dark and without meaning, plagued with the fear that one day the monster would come back.
