Her inheritance of a family cottage in Florida means freedom for Margaret Avery, and, despite the protestations of her grown daughters, she leaves her husband of thirty-three years for a life of passion and adventure.

It takes a lot of courage for a woman to leave a thirty-three year marriage, especially when her three grown daughters are determined to keep the family together. But when Margaret Avery's aged father died and left her a small house in Florida, she knew that the moment had come to make a break. -- At first, the change was far more difficult than Margaret had anticipated. The roof, the car, the checkbook-coping by herself was new and frightening ... for a while. Then, unexpectedly, things started looking up. Margaret found herself with a new feeling of competence, a new job, new friends ... even a hint of romance on the horizon.
