To Dream of Flying

Amelia Penfield dreams of flying … but not in one of the buoyant airships that ply the skies of her native Denver, Colorado. Nor are her dreams the usual night time fantasies of a sleeping mind. No, Amelia dreams of standing on a high cliff overlooking a vast ocean and transforming from human female into a great bird. Her dreams are so real, so all consuming, that her father fears she will ascend Denver's tallest building and throw herself into the sky.
