Venice has just graduated from high school and ponders her own purpose as her mother becomes ultra-busy with work, her brother moves away from home, and her best friend continues on to university. Events from her past stifle Venice's brewing wish to become a world-famous photographer. Raizel, a young woman from some other place, has just emerged from yet another failed summer relationship. Family secrets allow Raizel to fall under her parents' radar. Raizel wants nothing more than to skip town, attend hair school, and fall in love.
