Ashley Babcock is haunted by bad dreams that take place at Castle Braeburn which is strange since she's an American and never been to Scotland. When she visits Scotland to try to put her nightmares to rest, she's thrown back in time to the 17th century and has taken the place of the last laird's daughter. Soon she must question whether she's been thrown back in time or drawn back by a witch to confront the castle's greatest enemy.
That greatest enemy might be Colin or her heart which urges her to believe the desire in his eyes and in his kisses. Does she dare risk falling in love with a man who is just a shadow of a time long past?
